Nomadic Rugs from the Aït Ouaouzguite Tribes and the "Glaoua' textiles famous for their unique weaving techniques, the quality of the wool used and for their striking colors (produced by natural dyes). Today’s women weavers continue to use these ancient methods expertly, despite the introduction of chemicals. The geometric motifs in these tribal rugs and weavings evolved directly on the loom . Traditional designs--some religious, talismanic or totemic--were passed from one generation to the next, with each women weaver creating subtle variations that reflected her own artistic personality. These are the kind of pieces that are very hard to find.
